Security Electronic Digital Keypad Password Door Lock M-RDJ

I purchased the Metechs digital keypad lock for my back door, so that we would not need a key when we leave our house by boat from our canal front home. It has been very handy to get into the house after a long day of boating. I also have a guest RV in my back yard and when having company I wanted an easy way for guests to get into the house. I didn’t want to have to give guests keys every time people visited. Now I can just set a temporary passcode for them (I use the number 9 plus a code of their choice) and can delete it when they leave. This lock is being used in Florida on a salt water canal, and so far the product is holding up very well to the harsh environment. The only negative is that this lock cannot be programmed in a passage state, so when the back door is closed it is locked. (I knew this before I bought this lock.) This is good and bad. I like having all my doors locked when I am home alone, so it makes it easy because it automatically locks itself when the door is closed. When I am having people over in the backyard, I have to keep the door from completely closing (I put something in the door jam) so that my guests don’t need a code to get into the house. This has worked very well for our backyard BBQs. I am very happy with this product and it has made my life easier overall.
